The IRATA safety record
is the only one of its kind produced specifically
for rope access in the world. Unlike many
rope access companies and associations
we at Dragon will NOT provide a second
rate training scheme or qulaification
but DO provide a fully compliant service
within the rigorous proven IRATA
system
Dragon Safety Systems
has achieved better than the IRATA accident
rate since inception.
Excerpt from IRATA comissioned
statistical analysis of company returns:
Rope access operatives
are often working in situations where
it could be difficult for their supervisors
to clearly see what they are doing. In
effect operatives are therefore partially
or largely working on their own and this
is possibly the main reason why the person
causing the incident or allowing it to
happen, is the operatives’ themselves.
It is clear important therefore that novices
are only expected to work in situations
where the supervision can be as effective
as possible, remembering that if something
can go wrong, then a partially trained
and inexperienced person is the most likely
to let it happen. M.James July 2006 ex
HSE senior inspector UK Gov.
At Dragon we supply
